In October 2015 the redherring was successfully acquired by Andrew Kettlewell & Monica Gilligan, who bring with them over 10 years experience in the sector and together with a young and talented chef, Hayden Green, have over the past 17 months put together a business that strives to be everything that a quality food led establishment should be.

 

Featuring a very regularly changing menu allows us to serve what is at its very best at any given time of year whether it’s the seasons first asparagus, fall fungi or quality game throughout the colder months we passionately believe in the ingredients we put on your plate and hope you will agree! We are also fortunate enough to have strong relationships with some of the finest spirit suppliers in the country and have what is quite possibly the most extensive back bar around, boasting a smorgasbord of artisan gins & vodka’s as well as select rum’s, cognac’s & single malt’s. We also understand that good food is made better with good wine so to that extent we have carefully chosen a list that balances exciting new world wines with some classic old world heavy weights. Our wine list like our menu is updated with the seasons. 

 

On Sundays we offer classic roast dinners with everything you would expect from locally sourced meat to proper in season vegetables and stock gravies – certainly not your typical roast!

 

With our newly opened private dining room which has its own bespoke tasting menu, we strive to ensure everybody enjoys every moment they spend with us.
